Science of Reading Heart Words Family Introductory Materials: Do you need a clear way to introduce parents and guardians to the Science of Reading way of teaching High-Frequency Words? Is the phrase Heart Words confusing to them? Here is a packet of resources you can use to help parents understand how to best support their student at home with high-frequency words!

What is included in the PDF?

• One in-depth (2 page) letter to send out that details what high-frequency words are, why they are so important, regular and irregular words, how we used to teach sight words, how students learn, what orthographic mapping means, and how parents can best support at home.
